How to Wear Heels Comfortably: Tips and Tricks for All-Day Wear

Footwear has the power to make or break your look. The right type of footwear can hype your look, while the wrong type can ruin your appearance. That being said, heels often complement almost every type of outfit. There are several stylish heels available for women these days, each kind representing a type of dress. 

Women just can’t do without heels lately because they offer a robust look like no other footwear, and let’s not forget the amazing compliments you get while wearing them. But there’s no gain without pain. Wearing heels for a longer time can create blisters on your feet, and the pain becomes unimaginable at times. 

But every problem has a solution, and here are a couple of tricks up our sleeve that will help you minimise the pain while wearing stylish heels for women

  1. Put heels in the freezer: It’s not just food; even heels deserve to sit in the freezer before you wear them. That’s because when the heels get cold, they’ll easily stretch a bit, which ensures they sit perfectly on your feet. This ensures no friction or pain. If your freezer is full, you can even put a bag of ice into your heels for 30 minutes, allowing the footwear to loosen up a bit in case they’re too tight to wear.
  1. Double-sided tape: Adhesive tape should be attached to the bottom of your foot so your feet can stick to the heels’ insole. This trick will eliminate the pain while wearing heels for longer hours.
  1. Use high-heel insoles: You can buy a couple of high-heel insoles made from silicon or fabric. These insoles will prevent your feet from slipping further into the heels, avoiding pain and blisters. If you wear open-toe heels, silicon pads will be your best bet.
  1. Moisturise: Before wearing new heels, apply a small amount of moisturiser to your feet to avoid rubbing and blisters. Be careful not to use too much, as you don’t want your feet to slide around inside the shoes.
  1. Baby powder: Sometimes, wearing heels for extended periods can lead to sweating, which makes your feet slide around in the shoes. A simple solution is to sprinkle a little baby powder to soak up the moisture, and you’ll be all set!
  1. Don’t take off your high heels: Occasionally, the urge to ditch our heels and walk barefoot hits us hard when the pain gets unbearable. Yet, taking them off only to put them back on again usually means facing even more agony.
  1. Wear heels at home: If you have purchased new heels, it is best to wear them at home and practice walking in them. This will help you habituate to the heels and even loosen them up.
  1. Apply deodorant: Your deodorant has a new use now. You can apply a tiny amount to your heels to reduce friction and chaffing. 

With these tricks and tips, you can wear stylish heels for women for longer hours and dance the night away.
